INGREDIENTS:
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:Brompheniramine Maleate 2mg/5ml
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5mg/5ml
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Sodium benzoate, saacharin sodium, alcohol, sorbitol (16.8g/40mL)
Products containing sorbitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
DIRECTIONS:
12 YEARS AND OVER: 10 ml every 6 to 8 hours.6 YEARS TO 12 YEARS: 7.5 ml every 6 - 8 hours.
DO NOT EXCEED MORE THAN 4 DOSES IN 24 HOURS
Do not take for longer than a few days, unless directed by a a Dr. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours or accompanied by fever, discontinue use.
DO NOT USE:
- In children under the age of 6 years.
- If tamper evident cap seal is missing or broken.
- If hypertensive to any of the ingredients.
- If you are or have taken in the last 2 weeks a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).
- If you are breastfeeding.
CAUTION:
Contact Dr before use if:- Taking antidepressants, Sedatives or tranquillisers.
- Have high blood pressure.
- Have heart or thyroid diseases.
- Have glaucoma or diabetes.
- Have difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland.
- Have breathing problems such as occurs with - smoking - asthma - chronic bronchitis - emphysema.
- Have a cough with excessive phlegm.
- Taking or have taken blood pressure medicine or sympathomimetics.
- Are pregnant.
- Taking another cough and cold medicine.
WARNING:
This product may cause drowsiness or sedation in some people. Be cautious about driving a vehicle or operating machinery within 8 hours of taking this medicine. If still affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol.Phenylephrine may cause sleeplessness in some people. Do not exceed recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected discontinue use, ring the Poisons Information Centre (New Zealand: 0800 764 766) and seek professional assistance immediately.
